Pickleball Instructor & Pickleball Coordinator (Illinois)

Lakeshore Sport & Fitness – Illinois Center (LSF) is Chicago’s #1 Sport and Fitness facility for the entire family. We offer Pickleball, Basketball, Cardio, Group Fitness, Squash, Swimming, Triathlon Training, Marathon Training and more. The Basketball court has a full-size floor with three regulation-size Pickleball courts. The gym is spacious with bleacher-seating on the side of the courts and an upstairs indoor track area for additional viewing. The Pickleball program has become one of the most popular in the Chicago area. Within walking distance of the outdoor courts at Maggie Daley Park, LSF has a wide range of over 120 players at all skill-levels. You will call the plays, encourage development and learning, and ensure our members have the best Pickleball experience. As an LSF Coach and Program Coordinator, you will be part of our culture to Inspire, Teach and Motivate.

Motivate and inspire Pickleball players to improve and work hard
Excellent communication skills
Good character and is a positive role model with the ability to lead and instruct
Lead and instruct private and small groups of players in organized drills, games, and lessons.
Take charge of the Pickleball courts during events, tournaments, and group/private instruction
Be able to maintain the court schedule by coordinating with other activities utilizing the court.
This can include Basketball, Pickleball, Volleyball and various court rentals for adults and children.
Capable of organizing and running an adult Pickleball League and Travel Team.
Have an outgoing, energetic attitude, and be confident in teaching, leading, and facilitating discussions with adults.
Experience working with adults of a variety of ages, abilities, and personalities
Flexible, takes direction and has initiative, and is comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment
This is a part-time position with excellent possibilities of expanding your role with the club. Compensation is hourly and commissions paid for instruction. Hours are daytime, evenings and weekends depending on the PIckleball schedule. If you love PIckleball and enjoy teaching and running a program, this is a perfect part-time job.

Head Pickleball Pro (Arkansas)

Fort Smith Athletic Club – Position Title: Head Pickleball Professional
Reports to: Club Manager
Position Overview: The Head Pickleball Professional coordinates all activity of the Pickleball Program as directed by the Club Manager. Ideal candidate will enjoy working with members and their guests while maintaining a professional, courteous, attentive, and friendly demeanor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Facility management and activities including Pro shop operations, customer service, and directing and assisting with routine maintenance of Pickleball courts.
• Plans a range of Pickleball activities designed to promote and encourage Pickleball play, including leagues, mixers, junior programs and other Pickleball events.
• Provides lessons and clinics to interested individuals.
• Maintains merchandise levels within the Pickleball shop; assists with purchase orders and communicating with vendors.
• Ability to train staff to assist with Pickleball related functions.
• Ability to tape courts as needed for events
• Other related duties as may be assigned by FSAC at its discretion from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Methods and techniques of teaching the game of Pickleball.
• Merchandising, marketing and retailing Pickleball equipment.
• Communication and customer service skills.
• Management of Pickleball programs
• Administration skills
• Ability to motivate others
Credentials and Experience:
• High school diploma with bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4.5 or higher UTPR ranking (or DUPR equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum two years of Pickleball teaching experience required.
• PPR or IPTPA Certified.
• Bilingual preferred.
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Insurance benefits and paid time off available for preferred candidates. Immigration assistance available for highly preferred candidates.
