Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Pickleball Professional to join our dynamic team. The Pickleball Pro will be responsible for leading pickleball lessons, coaching players of all skill levels, organizing events, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within our pickleball community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pickleball, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting the sport and the enjoyment of the game.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Coaching:
Lead individual and group pickleball lessons for players of various skill levels.
Develop and implement structured programs and drills to improve players’ skills, strategies, and overall game performance.
Provide coaching for both beginners and advanced players.
Offer feedback and advice to players on their techniques and game strategies.
Organize Events & Tournaments:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee pickleball tournaments, clinics, and social events.
Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for participants.
Assist in organizing leagues, round robins, and special pickleball-related events.
Facility Support:
Ensure pickleball courts are maintained, organized, and safe for all users.
Set up and take down equipment for lessons, events, and tournaments.
Provide guidance and support to guests using the pickleball facilities.
Customer Service & Community Engagement:
Foster a welcoming and positive environment for all players and guests.
Maintain strong relationships with members and encourage their continued participation in pickleball activities.
Offer personalized advice and guidance to players seeking to improve their game.
Marketing & Promotion:
Promote pickleball programs, lessons, and events through social media, flyers, and word of mouth.
Help grow the pickleball community through outreach, introductory lessons, and engaging new players.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience playing pickleball at a high level, ideally at the competitive or professional level.
Certified pickleball instructor (such as from the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) or International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA)) is highly preferred. However, employer will sponsor certifications if needed.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook and Court Reserve. Court Reserve Training will be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to teach players of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
Strong organizational skills to manage lessons, events, and schedules.
Passion for promoting pickleball and helping others improve their skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate various schedules.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move around the pickleball courts for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as needed.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pickleball Professional to join our dynamic pickleball program. This role combines hands-on instruction, program development, and operational management to create an outstanding member experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our pickleball community while maintaining the highest standards of instruction and service.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Player Development
Deliver daily on-court instruction through private lessons, clinics, and group programs
Design and implement comprehensive training programs for all skill levels
Evaluate player skills and create personalized development plans
Maintain current knowledge of pickleball techniques, strategies, and teaching methodologies
Ensure proper court etiquette and safety protocols are followed
Program Management & Growth
Collaborate in the development and execution of quality programming for all skill levels
Create and implement strategies to increase member and guest participation
Facility Operations
Oversee court scheduling and reservation systems using club management software
Coordinate seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor court operations
Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all pickleball facilities
Assist with equipment inventory and maintenance
Work with maintenance team to maintain court safety and playing conditions
Member Relations & Community Building
Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all skill levels
Build and maintain strong relationships with members and guests
Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
Assist with the organization of community-building events and social activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field (preferred)
Current IPTPA certification (Level 2 preferred)
3+ years of professional pickleball instruction experience
Personal playing ability of 4.0 or higher (preferred)
Proven track record of program development and growth
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in club management software and Microsoft Office Suite
CPR and First Aid certification (must complete within 3 months of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a private club setting
Physical Requirements
Ability to demonstrate pickleball techniques and movements
Stand/walk for extended periods
Lift and move equipment up to 30 pounds
Work in various weather conditions (indoor and outdoor courts)
Schedule Requirements
Full-time position (40+ hours per week)
Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Seasonal adjustment to meet peak demand periods
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary $30,000 – $35,000
Commission opportunity $35,000+
